Just finished completely reorganizing my blog’s categories

I noticed that several of my old categories were still empty. Others were overstuffed with unrelated articles. I decided to clean things up, reorganize, and have a little fun with the new category names. Some of the new ones are foreign words, some are completely made up from scratch, others are portmanteaus, and some are “normal”. I started out with 6 broad groupings of 6 categories each; I thought it would be fun to keep such symmetry. Unfortunately, trying to moosh everything into 30 categories (I left the top ones empty) didn’t work out, so I added in a few extra.

I know that category-based URLs (like those from Google) are now broken. Hopefully that’s all that broke. I also noticed that my Twitter cross-posting plugin sent tons of notifications out about “new” blog posts I made. *grumble* Sorry for that.

Please leave me a comment and let me know how you like the changes.

    This explains the Twitter-splosion. :-)

Haha. Yeah. Unfortunately I didn’t visit Twitter until AFTER all that went through. Actually, I did initially check it just to make sure that wouldn’t happen. I guess that Twitter Tools remembers which messages it has already sent, and since the first two messages I edited were recent ones (i.e., already announced to Twitter), it didn’t trigger the notification. It was all the older ones that were never Twittered that got sent through. Oh well. At least I’m not that prolific of a writer. :-)
